It offers the many residents and visitors of Jackson County an opportunity to exercise and enjoy the scenic views or enjoy a picnic at one of the many picnic tables and benches located around the trail. The walking trail at Jackson County Park is beautifully landscaped by volunteers who have planted a variety of plants along the way in such a pattern that there is nearly always something blooming for you to enjoy. During the spring, a wide variety of plants are growing along the trails, the most popular being Hosta plants and Tulips. The winter brings different varieties of Camellias and constantly changes the scenery. The beauty of the walking trail spans all seasons, and the flowers and plants lend interest and enjoyment to the time you spend there. You never know when something new will be added. Plenty of birds and small wildlife live in the area, which are often visible during a walk on the trail.
