This trail on historic Derby Wharf reaches into Salem Harbor and ends at Derby Wharf Light, an 1871 lighthouse. The trail passes by exhibits on Salem's world trade ventures, the c. 1770 Pedrick Store House, and a replica of the 1797 East Indiaman Friendship of Salem. The trail lies within the boundaries of Salem Maritime National Historic Site, the nation's first national historic site. The tread way is flanked by grass and stone walls that form the edge of the wharf. Good views of the harbor, and boating activity with historic lighthouse at the end.

Derby Wharf Trail

Easy walk on a flat gravel surface to Derby Wharf Light. I didn't see anything along the trail stating it was a National Recreation Trail FYI. Also, there is no sign stating the trail name. Trail itself is also open to cyclists.
