Beautiful & mellow 10-mile roundtrip hike to the top

Hiked Feb 22, 2026. Lovely trail. Starts on the Georgia side of Lookout Mountain, then continues into Tennessee and up to the top, just below Ochs Memorial Observatory. Minimal elevation gain since the trailhead is at 1800 feet or so. You will walk next to giant rock faces and experience some narrow paths with guardrails and drop-offs. Nothing dangerous, it’s all quite scenic. 10 miles round trip as an out-and-back.
